Mission

OMSAIOMOur mission is to spread Baba’s spiritual teachings to people of all religions.

Sai Baba of Shirdi was born around 1838 AD (exact date not known). He lived in Shirdi in the district of Ahmednagar on 15th October, 1918 when he was about 80 years of age.

Sai Baba is one of the greatest Sufi saints of our time and the debate on whether he was a Muslim or a Hindu is unresolved till date. In his times the devotees were both Hindus and Muslims. Years after his Mahasamadhi his spirit still guides his devotees, who are now in millions all over the world.

Some of Sai Baba's key teachings include
  • Oneness of God ("Sab Ka Malik Ek")
  • Equality and Tolerance
  • Love and respect for each other and compassion towards the downtrodden and animals
  • He believed that mere reading of spiritual books is not enough, converting this knowledge to real spiritual change is essential
  • He emphasized forgiveness as a virtue and assertiveness in pursuit of truth rather than aggression
  • Devotion to Guru as the spiritual path leading to liberation from the cycle of birth-death-rebirth
  • His path of devotion emphasized Faith and Patience ("Shradha and Saburi")
  • He did not believe in any major religious rituals. All he wanted was love and devotion from his devotees- they should remember him always
  • He did not like devotees consuming alcohol at all. He was a non-vegetarian himself
  • He believed and followed "Different Strokes for Different Folks"

GURU JI C.B. SATPATHY JI
Guruvakhya: Quotes from Guruji
  • Destiny is not comparable. Destiny of each person is unique by itself. So don't suffer by comparing and contrasting your destiny with others
  • Because the past was imperfect and future uncertain, we must not spoil the perfect present
  • Difference of opinion should not lead to difference of mind. Half the problems of our life will not arise at all if we remember this
  • Instead of conquering the world, conquer your mind. If you conquer your mind, you can conquer the world
  • Do not ponder over negative thoughts as this is infectious, which gets into your system. Keep negative thoughts out of your being
  • Do not ponder over negative traits in others, for then they will take root in you
  • The science of worldly pleasures blinds people so much that they fail to see the light of god
  • The Sadguru is like a tree that not only gives fruit but also shade to all, even to it's enemies
  • Live in the world as if the whole world belongs to you, depart from the world as if nothing belongs to you
  • The Guru is always hidden in the disciple. When the worldly covers are taken out the real image of the guru
